Your trip begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your riad or hotel by our experienced driver who will take you on a journey to the Sahara desert. But the voyage begins with a stop at Ifrane, a little village with Alpine-style architecture that gives her the name of “Morocco’s Switzerland.” We travel through this unusual environment until we reach Azrou’s cedar forest, where we meet and feed the Barbary apes. We will stop for lunch at Midelt, a picturesque village known for its luscious apples, before moving on. You will be able to enjoy the stunning Ziz Gorges along the way with its scenic valley of palm trees, mountains, and historic Kasbah, Next we will pass by Arfoud, a village that is very known for the production of fossils. When we get to Merzouga in the evening, you will have a nice dinner in your typical riad and spend the night.

Day 2: Experience the Magic of the Sahara Desert/ Rissani excursion and Camel trek

A full day of exploration is waiting for us after breakfast. We will learn about the way of life of the desert nomads and uncover the mystery that the southern region of Morocco hides. Visit their tents, have tea with them, and learn about their way of life and regional traditions. We will go to the village of KHAMLIA to see and hear the Gnawa musicians, as well as to dance with them. The desert is full of a variety of colors and contrasts that will capture your heart. We’ll travel to Rissani, one of the biggest cities close to the desert. We’ll eat lunch (Berber Pizza) and then stroll through the market ( market of donkeys and sheep, vegetables and fruits ) as well as the Kasbah. Finally go back to your lodging and get ready for your camel trek around 45mn between the dunes to view the sunset .When you arrive at the camp, enjoy a delicious cup of tea and one of Morocco’s best tagines. There are billions of stars in the sky, so try not to spend too much time in your tent there. You can listen to the stories and songs while nomads dance and play bongos in a circle around the fire. It will now be up to you to decide whether you get in to your tent or slumber under the stars.

Day 3 : Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Midelt – Azrou– Ifrane– Fes
